Position Summary
Paint quality control engineering position shall understand the automotive paint process, to enhance paint quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Duties include but are not limited to the following.
- Inspect incoming raw material properties and perform online appearance checks.
- Investigate and analyze defective products and develop effective countermeasures.
- Establish short-term/long-term counter measures to ensure smooth production.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production on quality improvements during current production and during new project development stage.
- Enhance suppliers’ quality level by conducting Supplier Process Audit (SPA)
and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically. - Participate/lead BIP audit and Color Harmony sharing inspection results with suppliers, engineering, and production to request and discuss improvement plan.
- Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements.
- Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and
applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment - Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance
to specification and applicable legal requirements. - Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Qualifications & Preferences
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent desired
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred:
- Chemical Engineering major preferred or advanced degree in a related field
Travel Requirement
- Domestic / International travel required.
