Quality Control Body / Paint Group Leader - Line Group

What Will You Do?   

Duties include but are not limited to the following. 

Body & Paint Quality Control Group Leader position shall understand the automotive paint process, to enhance paint quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements. 

  • Every day before Production starts up Group Leader will need to review all emails and call ins. Manpower Update (PTO, Call In's, FMLA, NCNS). 

  • Group Leader to Team Leader Communication. (Brief meeting disclosing any issue previous shift had and any additional information reflecting all company mass communication that is required to be communicated. 

  • Attend Quality Control Line Inspection Morning Meeting  

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of multiple team leaders engaged in the quality control of automotive vehicles and their respective areas. 

  • Accountable for performance of the team. (Meta Pros) 

  • Communicate with the proper departments to report defects.  

  • Review SWIS PFS for progress and sign off.  

  • Implement countermeasures for missed defects.  

  • Participate/lead audits on Meta Pros to ensure the Work Standard is being followed. 

  • Ensure all Meta Pros have their appropriate PPE and ISD Protection (In System Damage). Quarterly 

  • Consistently walk the line to ensure a safe working environment for all Meta Pros. 

  • Ensure Meta Pros adhere to HMGMA policies and procedures. 

  • Undertake special assignments as required by management. 

  • Report all safety and quality concerns to AM. 

  • Make sure all Meta Pros have 5’s their area at the E.O.S. 

  • One on One with Team Leader - (1 per week, 2 during final week of the month) 

  • One on One with Meta Pro - (1 per team, per week)  

  • Complete any assigned sampling audits.  

  • Complete A-rank Quality Reports - As Needed  

  • Prepare end of shift report 

  • Complete E.O.S report and turn into AM. 

  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with al Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.  

  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

What Will You Bring To The Role:   

Minimum:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required  

  • Minimum 2-8 years of related job experience (supervisory experience desired, experience in Auto manufacturing, new model launch, and Quality control preferred)   

  • Skills/ knowledge: Word, Excel, Power Point

Travel Requirement
