The General Affairs Specialist is responsible for supporting all activities related to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specialist to support a wide range of business operations and administrative projects across our dynamic car manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will work across multiple departments, providing project assistance, process improvement support, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the plant. This is a pivotal role to ensure the efficient management of projects, plant resources, and operational needs. 

 

Reports to General Affairs Manager(s) and Assistant Manager(s) 

 

What Will You Do: 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative Support: 

  • Manage and coordinate daily administrative functions, including scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and preparing reports (PowerPoint heavy). 

  • Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems (OneDrive/Microsoft Teams). 

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other internal/external communications. 

  • Project Management: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational and administrative projects, ensuring alignment with company goals. 

  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and progress to ensure successful execution. 

  • Track project budgets and assist with procurement and resource allocation as necessary. 

  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately, including status reports, timelines, and budgets. 

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: 

  • Collect, analyze, and present operational data to assist management in decision-making processes. 

  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational efficiency, and other relevant metrics. 

  • Support the identification of operational issues and recommend improvements based on data insights. 

  • Operations Coordination: 

  • Act as a liaison between departments (e.g., production, quality control, supply chain, and HR) to streamline operations. 

  • Assist with inventory management, tracking supply usage, and coordinating reorders of supplies for department.  

  • Support plant safety and compliance initiatives by ensuring documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with regulations. 

  • Process Improvement: 

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and workflows across departments. 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to increase operational efficiency. 

  • Identify areas for process optimization and collaborate with leadership to address inefficiencies.

What Will You Bring to The Role:  

Minimum: 

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant project management, program management or business operations experience. 

  • Valid Driver’s License  

 

Competency Based:  

  • Displays knowledge and skills necessary to perform assigned duties, understands process, procedures, standards, methods, and technology related to assignments.  

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience required. 

  • SAP experience is preferred.  

Travel Requirement 

  • Domestic / International travel possible (1-2 times a year)

  • FLSA Classification: Exempt/Salary/Eligible for OT over 45 hours.
