Finance General Accounting Associate

HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Review all financial transactions for accuracy and ensuring that accounting records are up to date.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and monthly close deliverables
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
• Analyze purchases for proper general ledger coding
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliation and fluxes
• Assist in preparation of the monthly variance analysis for management review
• Prepare audit support
• Review financial statements and recommend adjustments to improve accuracy of reporting.

Required Skills/Abilities 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or on track for CPA is a plus
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting requirements
• Conduct analysis and documentation of new processes and ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial matters to non-finance professionals.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Highly detail oriented and business process improvement skills
• systems and software, including ERP systems, treasury management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

   

Travel Requirement 

• Domestic / International travel required.
